We’re constantly trying to improve your experience with PadSplit as a Host, which is why we’ve added even more features to improve functionality, payment processes, and property management.

Our latest and greatest features are all live, so be sure to check them out and click through to the supporting articles for additional information.

  1. Approve bookings in advance

We wanted to give our Hosts extra time to approve (or reject) a room request. If enabled, this feature gives Hosts access to a variety of information about the member, including past evictions, monthly income, age, and more.

Once a member submits a booking request, Hosts have 24 hours to do their research and conclude whether this application makes sense for their property. If the Host does nothing, it will auto-approve after 24 hours. So there’s no risk to enabling it – the member will still be able to move in on the same timeframe.

  1. Relist rooms on move-out day

As soon as the room turn card is moved to “done,” Hosts now have the opportunity to relist immediately. Previously, Hosts would have to wait until after move-out day to relist, even if the room was clean and ready to go.

This new feature gives Hosts the opportunity to move members in and out of their property faster and more efficiently so there’s extra revenue to be captured and less vacancy time.

  1. Access to the list of members in your home

We’ve created a more accessible way for Hosts to access member profiles. This of your PadSplit members provides Hosts with essential information about members’ financial standings and helps manage which move-ins or outs they have upcoming.

This easy, navigable list helps Hosts keep track of multiple members, which can often be tricky to juggle.

  1. Member CSAT for property listings

Here at PadSplit, we’ve been collecting member CSAT for over a year, and it’s provided us with tons of feedback and useful information, to which we wanted to give our Hosts access.

CSAT provides intel about property quality, which can lead to faster bookings. These metrics give Hosts effective tips to better their business and maintain members for longer periods of time.

  1. More data downloads

Hosts can download raw CSAT data to analyze trends here.

Head over to the downloads page to access the following:

  • By room allows you to download information about each room (e.g. recent prices, days on market, etc)
  • Rooms change: shows when the price or occupancy changed for a room. Allows Hosts to analyze trends over time
  • Occupancy by month: see monthly occupancy rate over time for each property

Tap on the tasks page to get various batches of data (in 6-month increments):

  • Export CSV – relevant for most Hosts. Details of task card
  • Export Links CSV – Export of ticket line items and costs (e.g. labor, room turn, cost).

Coming soon!

Get excited for PadSplit’s very own messenger tool—this will be a great way for hosts and members to communicate. The member will be able to request a chat with the host and the host will be able to initiate a chat with a member at any time.

Over time, PadSplit plans to extend this messenger feature to have task communications, whole-house communication, and other features. This feature will be a great way to build relationships between hosts and members without having to share personal phone numbers.
