At PadSplit, we believe in preventing issues before they arise. We align our standards with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) guidelines and enforce our own comprehensive safety checklist.
Mandatory locks on individual bedrooms and exterior doors.
Hosts are responsible for room code changes after each move-out.

Required safety features (smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, CO detectors if gas appliances are present).
All flooring must be secured and sealed, with no trip hazards, any stairs must have railings, and adequate lighting throughout the home.
