We’re giving you more control
Hosts can now approve move-in date changes
We heard your requests! We noticed that members frequently reached out via Messenger to request changes to their move-in dates, which previously required contacting PadSplit support and waiting for assistance.
Now, members can request move-in date changes directly through the platform, and you can approve or deny these requests with just a few clicks. This means faster turnarounds, less back-and-forth communication, and happier hosts and members across the board.
Sort your properties–your way
Managing multiple properties just got easier. You can now sort your property list by either activation date, property owner, or alphabetically by street name. This simple yet robust feature gives you greater control over your dashboard view, helping you find exactly what you need faster and work more efficiently.
It’s time for more streamlined communication
Clearer email management
We’ve upgraded how maintenance and Messenger emails reach your inbox. Now, member names and property addresses always appear in subject lines, making it easier to prioritize and organize messages at a glance. Plus, Messenger emails now come from messenger@padsplit.com, while maintenance tickets arrive from maintenance@padsplit.com.
You’ll still reply to support@padsplit.com (no changes needed on your end), but these updates should help you keep your inbox organized and ensure you never lose important messages.
Property ratings are officially here
Members can now rate their move-in experience
This is a big one! We’ve launched our first-ever public property ratings, capturing feedback from members during their move-in survey within the first week of their stay at your property. Our research shows a strong correlation between low ratings and shorter stays, confirming that these insights are valuable for both hosts and prospective members.
We’ve been working closely with a Host Task Force to refine this feature, and we’re already planning the next evolution, including research into move-out ratings to provide an even fuller picture. Ratings refresh monthly and will appear on your listing once your property has at least three ratings.
We’re adding better resources to your host toolbelt
ID verification at your fingertips
To help you make informed decisions without duplicating screening efforts, we now share member ID document verification directly in booking requests. You can review a driver’s license and selfie photos to confirm the individual’s identity and run any additional checks you deem necessary.
Confidential move-out reviews
When a member moves out, you’ll be asked to leave a review that will be shared with future hosts, but not with the member. These reviews help other hosts in our community make more informed acceptance decisions and help us maintain the quality of our platform. Over time, this data will also help us better understand and predict member outcomes.

Major improvements to host earnings
Understanding your earnings shouldn’t be complicated. That’s why we’re overhauling how earnings information is presented:
- Enhanced earnings CSV: Our detailed earnings export now includes an annual month-by-month summary broken down by property, making it easier to read and more informative.
- Better member balance visibility: Member profiles now display more details, including upcoming dues, so you have better visibility into payment schedules.
- Redesigned payout emails: New hosts receive clearer explanations of how payouts work.
- Earnings page redesign (coming soon!): We’re working on a complete overhaul featuring an intuitive ledger design. Our team has conducted extensive host interviews and held in-person workshops to ensure this redesign truly serves you and meets your needs.
