Finding the right shared living space isn’t just about location and amenities—it’s about feeling confident and comfortable with the people behind the property. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce Host Public Profiles, a new feature that brings transparency and personality to the PadSplit experience.

Putting faces to places

Every PadSplit host brings their unique approach to creating welcoming, affordable shared housing. Our new Host Public Profiles showcase these individual perspectives by featuring:

A welcoming profile photo, chosen name, and hosting duration that helps members connect with their potential hosts. Hosts can share their housing philosophy and community values through a personalized bio, giving potential members insight into their approach to property management and community building.

The profile also displays a complete portfolio of the host’s available properties, making it easier for members to explore multiple options from hosts they connect with.

Creating confident connections

Trust is the foundation of any great housing relationship. By making these profiles public to anyone browsing PadSplit properties, we’re empowering potential members to make informed decisions based on both the physical space and the people managing it.

For our hosts, this feature offers a platform to differentiate themselves in the marketplace. Whether they’re focused on creating tight-knit communities or providing efficiently managed spaces, hosts can now communicate their unique value proposition directly to potential members.

How to build your profile as a host

We’ve made the profile creation process straightforward while giving hosts full control over their public presence. Hosts can choose how they want to be known on the platform, select a photo that represents them best in “settings,” and craft a bio that answers the essential question: “What makes your PadSplit spaces special?”

When writing your bio, consider sharing:

  • Your philosophy on creating comfortable shared living spaces
  • What you look for in ideal community members
  • Special touches you add to your properties
  • Your experience in property management or community building

A marketplace built on transparency

This new feature represents more than just a profile system—it’s a step toward making PadSplit an even more transparent and trustworthy marketplace for affordable housing. By highlighting the diverse approaches of our hosts, we’re making it easier for members to find not just a room but a home environment that truly fits their needs.

For hosts, it’s an opportunity to stand out in the marketplace by sharing their unique approach to creating welcoming, efficient shared housing. For members, it’s the confidence of knowing exactly who they’re choosing to rent from.
