What should I know about signing a minimum commitment at PadSplit?

PadSplit offers different commitments depending on the market.. To know which type of commitment you have, visit the "settings" section of your dashboard and click "stay settings."
 
 31 Day Minimum Commitment: Some PadSplits require a minimum stay of at least 31 days. Your commitment could be between 31-36 days based on your booking selection.
After the initial commitment period, you will be automatically moved to a week-to-week commitment. If you choose to move out during your week-to-week commitment, you will not receive a refund for the remainder of the week. (Tip: to get the most for your money, it’s best to move out the day before your next dues day!)
You can pay weekly or bi-weekly and choose the day you pay your dues. We require a credit or debit card on file. If you break the minimum commitment of at least 31 days, you will be charged $175. PadSplit offers one free transfer to every Member regardless of how long they've stayed in their current home. Take advantage of this opportunity to find a better fit! You can begin a transfer request on your Member Dashboard.

Select between 5, 12, or 24-Week Commitment: In some PadSplits, you will select between a 5, 12, or 24 week commitment period. Your room price varies depending on which commitment you make. The longer your commitment period, the more discounted your rate will be.
You can pay weekly or biweekly and choose the day you pay your days. We require a credit or debit card on file. PadSplit offers one free transfer to every Member regardless of how long they've stayed in their current home. Take advantage of this opportunity to find a better fit! If you choose a 24-week commitment, you will pay the lowest possible weekly rate. We call this the “baseline rate”.

If you break your 24 week commitment by moving out early, you will automatically be charged $100 to the card you have on file.

If you choose a 12-week commitment, you will pay a higher weekly room rate until the end of your commitment period. Once you complete your 12-week commitment, you will automatically move to a week-to-week commitment AND your room rate will drop to a lower, “baseline rate”.

If you break your 12-week commitment by moving out early, you will automatically be charged $65 to the card you have on file.

If you choose a 5-week commitment, you will pay the highest weekly room rate until the end of your 5-week commitment. Once you complete your 5-week commitment, you will automatically move to a week-to-week commitment AND your room rate will drop to a lower, “baseline rate.”

If you break your 5-week commitment by moving out early, you will automatically be charged $35 to the card you have on file.

12-week minimum commitment: Some homes offer only a 12 week commitment at the “baseline” rate.

If you break your 12-week commitment by moving out early, you will be charged 2 weeks of dues to the card you have on file
After 12 weeks, you will move to a weekly flexible stay

Upgrade for Flexibility - No minimum commitment: If you would like to stay less than 12-weeks or are unsure of the time period you would like to stay, then you can choose to pay $175  to ‘Upgrade’ for flexibility. If you pay you upgrade for flexibility, you can move-out anytime you would like regardless of stay length.
