Changing a member's move-in date

Members can now submit a request through their dashboard to change their move-in date. The host will receive a message from the member in the Messenger with the request. The member can select any date within 14 days of the original move-in day.

The host can then opt to approve or deny the change by clicking on the appropriate button in the messenger.

• Before selecting APPROVE, the host should ensure that the room is vacant and ready for an early move-in if the new move-in date is sooner than the original date. The host should also ensure that they are available on the new move-in day for any move-in questions/issues that may arise. See more about How to provide a great move-in.

   

1. If the move-in date is changed to an earlier date, the member will be immediately charged for the additional days. 
2. For early move-ins, the members can request to move in as early as the same day. The cutoff for Host approval is 7pm the day of the requested move-in date. 
3. For later move-in requests, the cutoff for Host approval is 7pm the day of the original move-in day.
4. If the host does nothing, the request will timeout and the original date will be upheld.
