Can I still become a Member if I’m self-employed or currently unemployed?

At PadSplit, we're committed to making quality housing accessible. Our income verification process is designed to be flexible and accommodating to various financial situations. Here's how we work with you to find your perfect PadSplit home:

Self Employed: Self employed applicants can submit documentation to verify their income.

• Submit bank statements in their original PDF format that show the deposits you've received, OR connect your bank account securely and Plaid will automatically detect your recurring income.
• If you're a contractor for Uber, Lyft, Instacart, DoorDash, etc., you can download and submit your payment information from the app. You can also submit bank statements showing the deposits you've received.

Unemployed: Not currently employed or unable to provide income documentation? You can still complete your membership application with a prepayment.

• Choose the prepayment option during the income verification step of your application.
