PadSplit is more flexible and more affordable than traditional rentals. As a member, you pay one weekly bill that covers a private, furnished room and all utilities—no separate expenses to juggle. To get approved, you don’t need a minimum credit score, and you won’t pay a large security deposit. Members save an average of $317/month, which they often use to pay off debt, buy a new car or for a place of their own.
PadSplit members can save hundreds of dollars compared with traditional rentals. When you live in a PadSplit, you pay one bill each week which covers your rent, utilities, and free perks like telehealth services. Check out our Member Savings Calculator to see how much you can save.
Applicants who have one eviction on their record in the last 7 years can be approved, but applicants with more than one eviction will be rejected. Learn more about our Approval Criteria.
Great news! There is no minimum credit score required to live in a PadSplit. When you apply to become a member, we may review your credit history. However, your credit history is not a factor in the approval process.
We value our members’ privacy, so we don’t offer in-person tours before the move-in day. The good news: we offer 3D tours, so you can explore a home without leaving yours. Once you’re approved as a member, you’ll be able to see cross-streets for specific homes, plus what’s nearby—public transit, grocery stores, gas stations, and more. And if this is your first PadSplit home, your first room transfer is on us.
PadSplit requires a 12-week minimum stay, with a penalty charged for moving out early. You can transfer to another PadSplit property at any time with no penalty. You’re entitled to one free transfer to another PadSplit property during your stay, where the move-in fee is waived. After your initial commitment, you’ll automatically transition to a week-to-week commitment. A credit or debit card must be kept on file. For more information, please refer to our detailed policy guide here.
No, PadSplit was designed for longer-term stays for workers in the community with a minimum commitment of 12 weeks. In some cases, residents commit to longer stays of six to 12 months.
