How do I update my income information?

As your income grows, so do your PadSplit opportunities. We're excited to help you access even more housing options that match your success. Keeping your income information current is a simple way to unlock additional possibilities - including eligibility for rooms in higher price ranges that better fit your needs. 

Why update your income?

• Qualify for more housing options
• Access rooms in different price ranges
• Keep your profile accurate as your income changes

How your income sets your rate:

• W-2 or 1099 earners: Your approved weekly rate is half your verified weekly income
• SSI recipients: Your approved rate is two-thirds of your weekly income

Easy steps to update your income:

1. Log into your Member Dashboard
2. Click on "Settings" and then “Registration”
3. Scroll to "Income Information"
4. Click the "Add Income" button
5. Verify your new income by connecting your bank account (fastest — often instant via Plaid), or click See more verification options for other methods. 

Manually submitted documents typically take 2–5 business days to review. Need it faster? Email your income verification documents to documents@padsplit.com to help speed things along.

If you're transferring to a higher-rate room:

Once your updated income is evaluated and approved, our team will send you a confirmation letting you know your new qualified room rate. From there, you can go ahead and transfer to your new room.
