Meet Rodderick Parker, Account Executive

June 21, 2022

We kicked off our Employee Spotlight Series earlier this year to introduce you to the employees behind the keys! Over the past four years, PadSplit has grown from a handful of team members working in an Atlanta, GA office to more than 100 fully-remote employees located across multiple countries (and we’re still hiring).

Next up in the PadSplit Employee Spotlight Series: meet Rodderick Parker, Account Executive at PadSplit.

Rodderick Parker, Account Executive at PadSplit

The PadSplit team is fully remote. Tell us where you’re based.

Dallas, TX

When did you join the PadSplit team?

I joined Team PadSplit in December 2021 because PadSplit is a real solution to a major problem that the economy creates. PadSplit will always have an ecosystem to thrive in and, perhaps, its own economy too.

What is your favorite core value? Why?

Empathy—it’s the innate driver behind social interaction and interpersonal relations. Everything stems from there.

Tell us what a day in the life of your role looks like.

I start Morning Meditation to establish clarity. After that, I recap the previous day’s work session, following up on Host prospects and projects respectively. I curate my cadences for the day, scaffold calls throughout the day, and make detailed presentations for sharing the PadSplit model with prospective Hosts. Fundamental and technical market analysis is how I spend my evenings. YouTube helps keep me informed and entertained.

What are you working on that you are most excited about? Why?

I’m excited about creating social media sales funnels. Real estate investors are spending a lot more time on social media, and I can’t wait to tap into that.

How do you stay engaged with your team in a remote environment? What does collaboration look like in a remote environment?

I do not hesitate to message someone or book a time on their calendar if they or something crosses my mind. This traverses between formal and informal collaboration, which is important when you aren’t sitting next to a teammate in an office.

In our weekly All Hands meeting as an ice breaker, we ask new employees to share two truths and a lie about themselves for the team to guess. Let’s play with you. Tell us two truths and a lie about yourself.

I think sitting in silence and thinking is a fun activity.

I can’t drive a standard transmission.

I drove myself home from school when I was 11.

Thanks for sharing more about what you do, Rodderick! Stay connected with Rodderick and PadSplit on LinkedIn.

Psst: Rodderick doesn’t know how to drive a standard transmission. Did you guess correctly?
