Pre-Approved Bookings are a booking setting that gives you more control with less effort. When enabled, Booking requests from Members who meet PadSplit's pre-approval criteria are automatically approved. Booking Requests from Members who don't meet the criteria are sent to you for manual review, just like standard Booking Approvals.
PadSplit evaluates each Member against a set of quality criteria before they reach your inbox. Members who meet all criteria are instantly confirmed; everyone else follows your normal review process.
Pre-approval criteria
To qualify for pre-approval, a Member must meet a variety of criteria such as good ratings, no evictions in the last 7 years, no prior notice to vacate or termination, and more.
As a reminder, all PadSplit members are already screened for felony convictions within the last seven years, identity verification, and financial responsibility. Pre-approval goes several steps further.
We estimate that approximately 20–30% of bookings will qualify for pre-approval.
You can see the specific criteria, and enable Pre-Approved bookings, by navigating to the booking settings page of your Host Dashboard, and expanding the Pre-approved bookings section.

Important to note: No screening process can guarantee member outcomes. What the pilot data shows is that pre-approved members perform meaningfully better than the general population, and PadSplit will continue refining the criteria over time. The pre-approval criteria are subject to change without prior notice.
To enable Pre-Approved Bookings, log in to your host dashboard and navigate to Manage > Properties > Booking Settings. From there, you can choose between Instant Booking, Pre-Approved Bookings, or Booking Approvals.
