What is PadSplit's fee model for Hosts?

Last updated March 19, 2024

PadSplit uses a “10 days + 8%” fee model. Any time a Member moves in, we keep a booking fee, or 100% of the first 10 days of their stay. After that, PadSplit takes 8% of all transactions.

What if the Member moves out sooner than 10 days?

If a Member moves out before hitting 10 days of occupancy, PadSplit retains 100% of dues for the days they stayed. Hosts will NOT be charged anything additional. So, if a Member moves out after 3 days, PadSplit keeps 3 days of dues. Hosts are not charged anything additional, and they will keep the move-in fee. Even if the Member opts to pay the move-in fee in installments, the Host will receive the full move-in fee amount (minus 8%).

What if a Member transfers to another one of my properties? Will PadSplit deduct a second 10-day booking fee?

No. If a Member transfers within an Host’s (Owner) portfolio, the Host will not be charged a second booking fee. All properties marked with the same 'True Owner' label are considered to be under one Owner portfolio. Transfers within these portfolios will not incur a duplicate booking fee.
